A post is going viral on the social media platform X, claiming that a man in what appears to be a police uniform handed over his phone number to a woman. However, when the woman later recorded him and the situation, saying that the “policeman” had given her his number to “protect” her, he reportedly ran away. The video has been widely circulated on X and was also shared by an account identified as (@gharkekalesh). The clip was captioned, ''Policeman hands a girl his phone number slip in front of her family, making her uncomfortable. She records it, he flees.''In the video, a woman can be seen recording herself while a man, seemingly in a police uniform, sits behind her. As she speaks to the camera, the woman claims that the man had given her his phone number,
saying he had the “guts” to protect her. She also points out that her entire family is sitting nearby. However, as she continues recording, the man suddenly grabs the slip of paper from her and quickly walks away, seemingly trying to avoid being filmed.Note: Times now could not verify the authenticity of the viral post.
The clip quickly gained traction online, drawing mixed and intense reactions from users. One user wrote, ''Imagine feeling unsafe around the very people meant to protect you.'' Another user remarked, ''It's so wrong and pitiful at the same time. Policeman was probably single; in tier 2-3 cities, there are not many options to find a partner. She could have simply taken the slip and thrown it away; recording wasn't necessary. Maybe he got mixed signals.'' One more quipped, ''Wearing a police uniform and still acting this shameless is pathetic. That badge clearly means nothing to him.'' Another wrote, ''Yahi sab karne ke liye police mein bharti hua hai.''The video continues to garner criticism online, with many questioning the conduct of individuals in positions of authority and raising concerns about public trust and safety.
