A set of viral wedding videos from Uttar Pradesh has ignited debate across social media after three women claimed they had all married the same man in a traditional Hindu ceremony.The clips, widely shared on Instagram and Facebook, feature three sisters from Dhoriya village in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district taking part in what appears to be a Hindu wedding with a single groom. The women, identified as Saroj, Savitri and Santosh, are daughters of farmer Ramesh from the Hasanpur Assembly constituency.According to reports, two of the women are sisters while the third is their cousin. They reportedly tied the knot with the same man, who worked as the cameraman for their social media videos, because they did not want to live separately.Before the controversy,

the trio had recently begun creating content for social media. Despite uploading only a few dozen videos, they quickly gained hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram and Facebook.The controversy began after videos surfaced online showing the three women participating in what appeared to be a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony with the same groom. In the clips, the man is seen applying sindoor (vermilion) to each bride, the group performing phere around a sacred fire, and later seeking blessings from elders by touching their feet. The rituals were reportedly conducted around a havan kund, leading many viewers to believe the ceremony was genuine.At first, many social media users dismissed the videos as scripted content or another attempt to gain online attention. However, speculation intensified after the women uploaded additional videos insisting that the marriage was real.

The presence of the chairman of the Hasanpur Municipal Council in some of the viral videos further drew attention to the incident and fuelled discussion online.The videos are said to have been recorded at the Chamunda Temple in Amroha. However, priests associated with the temple have denied that any such marriage took place there, raising questions about the actual venue and circumstances of the ceremony.As the videos continued to circulate, several Hindu organisations objected to the reported marriage, questioning both its legality and the religious rituals depicted. Others on social media defended the individuals involved, arguing that consenting adults should be free to make their own personal choices.Despite the widespread attention, neither the three women nor the man seen in the videos has spoken to the media. Their families have also remained silent, offering no official clarification regarding the reported marriage or the controversy surrounding it.
