Now, another man from Bihar is going viral—this time for selling chai and poha on the streets of Los Angeles.A video of him has been widely shared online in which he reveals the prices of the tea and poha he sells in Los Angeles. The clip was posted on an Instagram page identified as @indiaego.According to the video’s caption, “A man from Bihar has quietly become an example of hard work, self-belief, and cultural pride by selling tea and poha on the streets of Los Angeles—far from his homeland, yet deeply connected to it.”The caption further reads, “Despite being in a foreign
country, he speaks in Hindi, stays grounded in his values, and openly respects his Bihari identity. His tea, priced at ₹782, and poha at ₹1,512, are not just food items—they reflect the cost of survival in a global city and the determination of a man building an honest livelihood through his own effort.”
The video was originally shared on an Instagram account identified as @chaiguy_la. The man’s account is filled with videos in which he talks about selling tea and the Indian snack poha, often showing how quickly his food items sell out. His videos also capture his interactions with customers. In one of the clips, he even claims that because of his long hair and moustache, people in Los Angeles often compare him to Jesus Christ. After the viral “Bihar samosa man,” this self-proclaimed “chaiwala” from Bihar has now caught the internet’s attention and is rapidly going viral online.
