‘While You Are Partying…’: YouTuber Meghnad Reacts To CJP’s ‘Resignation Party’ | VIDEO

Ever since the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest demanding action over the NEET paper leak ended on Saturday, July 25- it’s the CJP’s ‘Resignation party’ that is making more headlines than everything else since the last 24 hours. The student protest was held in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, former Union Education Minister, over the paper leak. Not so long after the resignation, the CJP finally announced a wrap-up on the protest, along with stating that the Government assured of no future case or action against protesters by the Delhi Police.However, soon after the wrap-up, the CJP found itself in the middle of a fresh row, as videos of the CJP leaders and volunteers enjoying a “Resignation Party” began

to go viral. The party was allegedly held at a hotel, while the clip showed several prominent faces like CJP spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav Das, and more in it.Soon after, reactions criticising the celebration started coming in, including that of YouTuber Meghnad. A comment by the YouTuber is now going viral, where he was seen chiding the CJP for “abandoning” the “starving CJP volunteers + protestors” in Delhi. The YouTuber claimed that he was helping the stranded protestors with his own money.“I'm seeing this at 4 am in the morning. Me and a few others have spent the last two days sending abandoned and starving CJP volunteers + protestors home with our own money. I wasn't going to say anything but I saw this video and I'm pissed off. Your volunteers were with you for the last month, selflessly working to make this protest possible,” the comment read.The YouTuber then stated that the Delhi Police took away the belongings of the protesters and made them leave the protest site, Jantar Mantar. He further claimed that the protest’s “fallout” has been “horrible”.“When you CJP ‘leaders’ up and left, Dalli police came in, took their stuff and they were thrown out of JM. I know this because I went back to JM and the fallout of this protest has been horrible. While you are partying, 70+ protestors and students were left starving in Delhi because YOU decided to not care. Congratulations CJP, you have become just another political party after all. And fu*k you,” the YouTuber’s comment further read.

The CJP protesters demonstrated in several parts of India, while in Delhi the protests were held at Jantar Mantar. The protest went on for over 30 days, until Dharmendra Pradhan finally resigned.The CJP protesters had also held a ‘Chalo Sansad’ march on July 20, which was basically a march to the Parliament of India. Throughout the protest, several prominent faces showed up at Jantar Mantar to extend their support to the cause. Social activist, professor and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk was another prominent name who joined the protest and turned into a key supporter, as he went on a hunger strike that lasted over 20 days.
