A viral Reddit post has sparked debate after a user shared a heart-wrenching encounter with a Blinkit delivery agent who allegedly showed up at their doorstep in tears following a missing-item complaint.
The post, shared on the subreddit r/AskIndia and titled “Blinkit guy came crying at my doorstep,” has divided opinions — with some sympathising with the worker and others suspecting a possible scam.According to the Redditor, they had ordered items worth around Rs 500, including a small bottle of salicylic acid serum. Upon receiving the package, they noticed that “the bottom was torn and the serum bottle was missing.” The user contacted Blinkit support and said, “I went straight to Blinkit support and said my item was missing, and to my surprise they returned the whole amount.”However, a few hours later, the situation took an unexpected turn. The delivery agent allegedly returned, visibly emotional. “He said Blinkit deducted Rs 500 from his income that day plus no incentives for the day. In total he was saying around Rs 700, and his account is now blocked,” the user wrote. The post further mentioned that the man initially accused the customer of lying, before the Redditor decided to give him Rs 1,000 out of sympathy. They ended their post by asking the community whether such penalties were actually imposed or if the story sounded suspicious.
