A don’s interview so blunt that the internet was left wondering about the well-being of the journalist who took it! An old interview of ‘Lyari don Uzair Baloch’ is circulating on social media, leaving netizens not only saluting the interviewer for his extraordinary courage, but also leaving people questioning his well-being. From poverty, ‘murders’, violence, and scams to taunts, jibes, and whatnot- Pakistani journalist Noor-ul-Arifeen’s rather ‘risky’ 2012 interview with Baloch resurfaced online– after the mega success of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar. The old interview was being conducted at Baloch’s luxury mansion, which seemingly stood in the middle of a poverty-stricken Lyari. Seemingly, the journalist did not let that go, as the very first
question that kicked off the interview clip was about Baloch's ‘source of income’.“I’m a transporter,” Baloch stated, only for Arifeen to bombard him with back-to-back questions on his contrasting luxury lifestyle that hardly match his supposed ‘Transporter income’. The reporter then began to taunt him over his display of water-related home decor pieces, while the rest of Lyari struggled even for drinking water. The man then directly asked a question that no one saw coming– “Uzair Baloch Ne Aaj Tak Kitne Katal Kiye Hain? (How many people has Uzair Baloch killed?)” Only for him to claim that he never even killed an ant!The video was quick to go viral, as most netizens not only loved the journalist’s bravery but also expressed concerts over his well-being.For those not aware, Baloch was reportedly one of the most feared crime faces. The man took over Rehman Dakait’s empire after his elder brother’s death. He also had the People's Aman Committee (PAC) under his control. Reportedly, he fled Pakistan, only to be apprehended in 2015 by Interpol at Dubai International Airport. He was further sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2020, after which he was sent to the Karachi Central Jail.ALSO READ: Young Girl Gets Trapped Under Fallen Wall After Collision With Speeding Truck; WATCH Her Miraculous EscapeIn Adiya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, the character of Baloch was played by actor Danish Pandor. The film is about an Indian spy, who infiltrated the heart of the Pakistani mafia and politics; Hamza Ali Mazari, where the spy character was played by Ranveer Singh.
