For this Haryana woman, everything changed after living in Bengaluru for 15 years. In her self-recorded video, which is now going massively viral, she claimed that she never once had to worry about her safety during her years in the city—until 2026. That changed when a man who had been messaging her on social media travelled all the way from Haryana to Bengaluru to stalk her. She shared the harrowing experience, which has since sparked widespread discussion online. The video was shared on Instagram by a user identified as Maniesha. In the clip, she says, “15 years in Bengaluru and never once did I have to look over my shoulder for my safety. But that changed last week when my stalker decided to come all the way from Haryana to Bangalore to stalk me.
Now, in a country like India, we all know what it takes to file an FIR to make it a legitimate case, and the unknown fear of realising what happens if nothing comes out of it.”
She further mentioned how she approached the Broseph Foundation—an NGO that assists people with legal matters—and how they helped her through the process. In the caption, she wrote, “Let me give a lil background here: this man has been stalking me on social media for months. My family has been trying to resolve this from their side for far too long since he happens to have relatives who are my neighbours back home. He has a history of mental illness, and his family refused to own up to his actions. I have had no interaction with him ever, nor did I give him any idea that I am available.”She added, “I mean, come on! Him coming to Bangalore was the biggest mistake of his life, and the audacity to chase someone who is not interested in you—even remotely—is just outrageous! He got what he deserved.”She also wrote, “DCP mere chacha nahi hain jo aise hi bina baat ke case bana denge, and the police had to intervene immediately. And FYI, I am a Haryanvi too but have been living in Bangalore for 15 years, and no, I have zero connection to this man. Is it difficult to believe that there are actual psychopaths out there and he happens to be one of them?”In another note, she said, “He had received enough warnings from my family, but he refused to back off because it all seemed very filmy to him. Chasing a woman who is clearly not interested, who is happily living her life with someone and doesn’t want to even interact with you—how difficult is that to understand? He got what he deserved. The confidence to walk into a city that is my safe place and threaten me landed him where he is today. There are consequences.”The video has since gone viral on social media, generating widespread discussion and debate online.
