Pakistani journalist Arzoo Kazmi has taken a swipe at Indian YouTuber Dhruv Rathee in a video reacting to his remarks on the film Dhurandhar, which he had described as “propaganda”. The video has since gone viral on social media, triggering widespread discussion after Kazmi revealed that she “liked the film” and took a jab at the YouTuber, saying she was “in tears after listening to Dhruv Rathee’s video” and that he had “done free advertising for the film.”Dhurandhar was released on December 5, 2025, and has since crossed over Rs 500 crore at the box office. Over the days, the film has continued to spark debate and draw reactions, both positive and negative, across social media platforms. Dhruv Rathee, with 30.6 million subscribers and well
known for his political commentary, released a detailed YouTube video on the film, comparing it to “Nazi propaganda”.

Soon after Rathee’s video went viral and garnered millions of views from across the globe, Arzoo Kazmi responded on her YouTube channel with a reaction video addressing his assessment of the film. Taking a seemingly sarcastic approach, she said, “I watched their video and, honestly, it brought tears to my eyes. Through their video, I came to know that India is sending spies into our country — at least that’s what they claimed. They said this is something we were unaware of earlier, but now they have '‘opened our eyes,'' as if we already didn't know''.She further added, “Another thing is that a film will obviously add some drama and spice, otherwise, who would watch it? But overall, the film is very good. I am from Karachi myself, and I know what the environment used to be like. The portrayal of the Lyari gangs and the clashes between them felt realistic. The character of Rehman Dakait was real, and the role played by Sanjay Dutt as Chaudhary Aslam was also accurately shown. There was nothing wrong with it.” https://youtu.be/5--kjVMPkN0?si=pk-_odST22lPteWC Kazmi also remarked, “That said, the film is very well made and has become a massive hit. In a way, they have ended up promoting the film for free. They didn’t receive any money from the producer or director, but they still talked extensively about the movie. Given their large follower base, it’s obvious that if so many people listened to them, even those who had no intention of watching the film might have ended up watching it anyway.”Her reaction video roasting Dhruv Rathee also went viral, with many social media users resharing clips and reacting humorously. One user commented, “Even Pakistanis are roasting Dhruv Rathee for his Dhurandhar review. This journalist dragged Rathee through the mud.” Another wrote, “Don’t want to get into the politics around Dhurandhar, but a Pakistani journalist trolling Dhruv Rathee for his video was totally unexpected.”
However, coming back to Dhruv Rathee’s video, some users also came out in his support. One user wrote, “They are rattled because your one video literally exposed
Dhurandhar propaganda. Even one of my friends posted about selling off his ticket after watching your video. You won, they lost.” Another commented, “You are right to point out the propaganda in the film. People could be brainwashed by it.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features a power-packed cast including Arjun Rampal, Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun. The film has received mixed reviews from critics but continues to remain a topic of discussion across social media platforms.
