As Kiss Day, celebrated just before Valentine’s Day, drew to a close, a quirky piece of news began circulating widely on social media. A couple reportedly set a Guinness World Records title for the most kisses shared in just 30 seconds, a feat that quickly sent the internet into a frenzy and added a playful twist to the season of love.UK journalist Joshua Saunders and his partner Jenny Troy travelled to the headquarters of Guinness World Records to take on the challenge. Under strict guidelines, participants were required to fully separate after each kiss for it to count. As a result, a few of their attempts were deducted from the final tally because they did not completely pull away between kisses, in accordance with the official rules.Joshua
said: "I want to be beaten - so if you're watching this and think you can do better, apply," as quoted by Guinness World Records. His light-hearted challenge has since encouraged many viewers to jokingly consider attempting the record themselves. The video of the record attempt was shared on Instagram by Guinness World Records with the caption: “Most kisses in 30 seconds by a pair. 146 by Joshua Saunders and Jenny Troy.” The clip shows the couple rapidly exchanging kisses while an official adjudicator carefully monitors the attempt.
