A scene from Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has sparked real-world curiosity after a biryani and chai outlet named “Washma Butt” went viral online. Many viewers initially thought it was a fictional or satirical reference in the film, leading to debates on social media about a possible hidden message. However, a viral video later showed that the eatery is real and located in India.The location was recently highlighted in a viral video by travel content creator Soumya Chatterjee, known as “itsnaturemoto” on Instagram, who visited what he called the “Dhurandhar wali chai ki dukaan.” The shop is situated in Leh, Ladakh, and reportedly mirrors the aesthetic seen in the film’s backdrop. Inside the shop, visitors can even spot promotional posters tied to Dhurandhar,
including one featuring Hamza Ali sharing tea with Aalam Bhai.During the visit, the blogger remarked, “Yaha akele aana to mana nahi hai par shart ye hai ki yaaha pe do chai leni padegi. Ek apne liye aur ek is jagah ki ehsaas lene k liye.” The clip quickly spread across platforms, fueling reactions and jokes, especially around the name “Washma Butt,” which some users playfully misread as “Wash my Butt,” assuming it was a hidden reference.
Online reactions poured in soon after. One user commented, “I thought Aditya Dhar was trolling Pakistanis with the name ‘Washma’ Butt. I never knew it was real.” Actor Gaurav Gera, who plays Aalam Bhai, also responded to the viral post by dropping two red heart emojis.Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, was released in theatres on March 19, 2026, and has broken several box office records. The film features Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Part 1 of Dhurandhar, released in December 2025, also broke many box office records.
