A heart-wrenching scene from Madhya Pradesh has struck a chord with social media users, highlighting the silent devotion animals often show toward their owners. The incident occurred in Badora village of Shivpuri district, where a pet dog refused to move away from the body of its owner after the man was found dead in his home. The deceased was identified as Jagdish Prajapati, around 40 years old. He was reportedly discovered hanging inside his house on Monday. As per reports, officials said that the cause of death is yet to be determined. When relatives and villagers gathered at the house, they found the dog sitting beside Jagdish’s body. Reports say that the body remained inside the house overnight, during which the dog stayed there without
leaving, keeping a constant vigil. The following morning, Jagdish’s body was taken on a tractor-trolley to Karera for the post-mortem. As the vehicle moved, the dog ran after it, chasing the trolley for nearly four kilometres. In videos that later surfaced online, the dog can be seen following and later sitting near the vehicle. After the post-mortem was completed, the body was brought back to the village for the final rites.
Footage of the dog’s behaviour quickly spread across social media, drawing emotional reactions from viewers. One user shared the video with the caption, “Loyalty that even humans cannot set an example for…Sometimes loyalty is not expressed in words, it is shown in silence.”Others echoed similar sentiments in the comments. “A dog is man's best friend,” wrote one user, while another asked, “Where is this dog today? Has someone adopted him? I would like to adopt him pls.” A third comment read, “This is so sad to see..Dogs are very loyal & I hope this dog finds a loving home to carry on w/o his owner.”
