Usually, fire tenders reaching ground zero on time is often a sign of relief for people in trouble, but when the fire tender in Noida reached on time to extinguish an intense fire at a high-rise residential building’s 12th floor, what happened afterwards left many concerned instead. A fire broke out at the Ivy County society in Noida’s Sector 75 on Friday, June 05. Soon after the fire, a video began to circulate on social media, which showed a fire tender trying to extinguish the 12th floor fire, but seemingly failing as the water pressure failed to cross the 6th floor. However, after the video went viral, the fire department claimed that the interpretation was misplaced and it was the society's hose that was featured in the video, and not the department's.
As per PTI, the department later used a 42-metre hydraulic platform to bring the blaze under control, whereas no casualties were reported.Despite the department’s clarification, netizens were quick to comment on the “readiness and capabilities” of fire tenders in the country.Check out the viral post: “Fire is on the 12th floor. Fire brigade pumps are reaching till the 5th-6th floor. Moral of the story: Never buy a house in a high-rise in India. Even if you have to, never buy anything beyond the 5th floor,” the post read. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘PunsterX’. It was shared yesterday and pulled over 90K views from people.
