However, for people living near the sea, the same task has seemingly become downright deadly! Taking to social media, a Mumbai man shared a spine-chilling video of several houses allegedly built a bit too close to the sea. The horrifying clip showed the houses being partially flooded with the sea water. To make everything worse, half of the buildings seemingly lost their front yards to massive waves.The clip showed the residents helplessly watching the sea take over their homes. The clip, for obvious reasons, was quick to go viral, leaving the internet reacting in all kinds of ways.Most suggested moving
to higher ground as soon as possible, while some blamed the authorities for not relocating the residents on time. Several netizens also dubbed it a "disaster waiting to happen”. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared a holiday for all government, private, and municipal schools and colleges to ensure student safety.
