Getting to join one’s “dream company" with double the salary package than demanded surely sounds like a blessing; however, when the same thing happened with THIS 23-year-old woman, what followed was nothing but a nightmare. Taking to social media, the woman shared how her career changed for the better after she bagged a great opportunity in the IT Hub of India. For her new job, the woman then moved to Bengaluru from her hometown, a week before her joining day. Allegedly, the initial 6 to 5 days went perfectly; however, everything changed after she joined the company.“Got into my dream company, but crying every day. I (23 F) got into my dream company with 2× the package I demanded. I had to shift to Bangalore from my hometown. I thought I'd be miserable
at PG and metro, but it's surprisingly okay. I came here a week before my joining date to be prepared and loved those 5-6 days,” the post read.As per the post, ever since the woman has joined the company, crying is all that she has been doing. She is even suffering “panic attacks” while sitting at her desk. The woman claimed that she has been in constant touch with her parents and her partner, to the point that her father is suggesting to come back. “But, since I joined my office this Monday - I've been crying every 60-70 mins. Like full-on panic attacks. Can't breathe. I sit with tears rolling down my cheeks on my desk. I called my parents and partner from the bathroom stall. My dad asked me to come back,” the post continued. As the post continued, the woman revealed that it was not exactly the organisation or her new colleagues that are causing anxiety in her; it’s rather something that has even left her confused. Allegedly, everything is “fine” at the office, from co-workers and manager to work environment and more, yet she is constantly getting hit by the feeling of wanting to return home.“Idk why. Everything is good. People are nice. We get nice food, a great office, and a structured environment. Kuch kaam bhi nahi diya (They have not assigned me much work). Mostly mandatory training and all. Why is this happening to me? Abhi kal subah office Jana hai, and I'm dreading, crying like a school kid. Should I take a sick leave?” the post continued. The woman recalled her previous organisation and stated that the work and responsibilities were mostly similar, leaving her confused as to why she is feeling the way she is feeling.“I also have prior experience working at an MNC in my home town. Similar culture, so not everything is new. Is this common? My mind says run away, resign, go back. I got this job after so long. This job market is already fucked up. Should I call my mom here for a few days?” the post concluded. The post soon went viral, pulling many reactions. Most suggested she join therapy, while others called it “homesickness".
