With the state of West Bengal going through one of the biggest changes in decades, it’s quite understandable that people are reacting in a variety of ways. Some are welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party with open arms, while others are pushing the WB Assembly Election results as hard as they can, to show their support towards long-standing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her All India Trinamool Congress. Amid the chaos, a rather interesting clip came forward, as per which-- an 'alleged TMC worker' blamed BJP workers for “beating” her up.The clip looked chaotic and ended up becoming further violent. However, was the incident even authentic? Here's a little FACT CHECK!The video showed her getting interviewed by some
reporters, while she was answering with a bandage on her head. In the middle of her interview, a bystander ended up removing the bandage, only to find out that the head injury was a “fake”.What happened next was another twist that no one saw coming: the 'alleged TMC supporter', along with the rest, began to beat up the one who exposed the fake injury. The video immediately went viral, pulling many reactions. However- turned out the reality of the clip was far different. Not only was the woman NOT a TMC worker, but the incident never even happened in West Bengal. As per a YouTube video, the incident happened in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, at the Shree Krishna Medical College and Hospital. As per the editor of the said YouTube channel- Maurya Dhwaj Express- the clip was captured by one of his reporters, Prem Shankar. As per India Today, the reporter later revealed that the clash happened between some patients and trolleymen at the hospital, where the staff had accused the patients of beating her up.
A TMC worker with bandage on her head claimed that she was beaten up by BJP workers. BJP workers removed the bandage but there was no sign of injury. So, they beat her up and returned the bandage and told her that people will believe you now. pic.twitter.com/t0zP9FcfZt
