A beloved Bollywood classic is set for a special return to the big screen, this time in an unconventional community-driven setting far from its home audience. A San Francisco-based tech entrepreneur has arranged a private screening of the 2009 blockbuster 3 Idiots, booking out a 250-seat theatre to bring fans and newcomers together for an evening of cinema and shared nostalgia. The screening has been announced by Pakistani-origin founder Farza Majeed, who shared details on social media platform X, explaining that the idea stemmed from his desire to host an event that blends entertainment with inspiration. He said the film remains meaningful to him for its uplifting message and its ability to resonate with people going through phases of uncertainty
or stagnation. According to him, the event is meant for those looking for motivation, comfort, or simply a light-hearted cinematic experience.Scheduled for May 24 at the Marina Theatre in San Francisco, the screening will offer tickets priced at $10 each. Majeed also confirmed that subtitles will be provided to make the film accessible to a wider audience. He encouraged first-time viewers as well as longtime fans to attend, calling 3 Idiots a “must-watch” that continues to hold relevance even years after its release.
