What appeared to be an ordinary day for a family in Uttarakhand's Haridwar quickly turned into a startling experience when they discovered dozens of baby snakes inside their household water tank. The unusual find left residents shocked and prompted an immediate rescue operation by forest officials.The incident took place in Sarai village of Haridwar district. According to reports, family members became suspicious after noticing unusual movement inside the water storage tank. When they inspected it more closely, they were stunned to find several snake hatchlings wriggling through the tank.The discovery triggered panic among the household members, who quickly alerted neighbours and local authorities. As word of the incident spread through the village,
residents gathered near the house to catch a glimpse of the unusual scene.Upon receiving information, officials from the forest department reached the location along with experienced snake rescuers Talib and Bhola. A carefully planned rescue operation was launched to remove the reptiles without causing harm to either the animals or the residents.As per an India Today report, the rescue team spent considerable time inspecting the tank and safely extracting the snake hatchlings one by one. According to Range Officer Shishpal Singh, a total of 27 baby snakes were recovered during the operation.After being removed from the tank, the hatchlings were safely relocated to a suitable natural habitat away from residential areas. Officials said the rescue was carried out successfully and no injuries were reported during the operation.
