Close Call! Station Master's Quick Thinking Saves Passenger From Falling Between Platform & Moving Train

Not every day do people get to experience a ‘close shave with death’! In yet another reminder of how foolish the attempt of boarding a moving train can be, an incident recently surfaced online and went

viral. A video began to circulate online, which was of CCTV footage from an Indian railway station. The clip showed two passengers trying to board a train that was picking up speed. Whereas one of the passengers managed to board the train, the other one was seemingly not so lucky, as he quickly lost his balance and was about to slip into the gap between the speeding train and the railway platform. However, thankfully enough, a rather ‘alert’ station master was standing nearby, who was quick to rush into action; without wasting a second, the station master ran towards the falling passenger and caught him at the last second.The clip then showed the station master pulling the passenger towards the platform for safety. The clip went viral in an instant, garnering praise from the station master. Most hailed his quick thinking, while some criticised the man for such an ‘immature decision’. Many also commented how this is not the first time that something like this has happened– just because people were in a hurry to catch their train.As per the CCTV date, the incident unfolded on December 13, where the location could not be confirmed.
