Asking around for ‘consent’ from the entire neighbourhood before starting any kind of renovation at one’s own residence is not something that Indians do– perhaps that’s why an Indian woman living in South Korea was left stunned and even impressed after she ended up receiving a “consent form” from a neighbour over an apartment renovation that the neighbour wanted to begin.
