As heavy rains continued to inundate parts of Bengaluru and leave commuters struggling through waterlogged streets, a traffic constable's act of kindness stood out amid the chaos. A video showing the officer carrying a differently-abled youth across a flooded road has gone viral, earning widespread praise on social media.The incident occurred on Friday evening in the Byatarayanapura area, one of several parts of the city affected by intense rainfall and severe waterlogging. With roads submerged and traffic moving slowly through the flooded stretch, a differently-abled young man found himself stranded and unable to cross the busy road safely.As rainwater continued to accumulate and vehicles navigated the challenging conditions, crossing the road became
increasingly risky. Witnessing the situation while on traffic duty, constable Anil Kumar quickly stepped in to help.After ensuring that vehicles slowed down, the officer approached the youth and assessed the situation. Realising that walking through the flooded road would be difficult and unsafe, he decided to personally carry him across the waterlogged stretch.A video of the moment shows Anil Kumar lifting the young man and carefully carrying him through the flooded roadway while maintaining his balance amid the difficult conditions. He safely escorted him to the other side, ensuring he was comfortable throughout the crossing.The heartwarming gesture soon attracted attention online after clips of the incident began circulating on social media platforms. Many users praised the constable for going beyond his regular duties and showing compassion during a challenging situation.
