In an incident that sparked widespread discussion online, a Philadelphia Eagles fan posted a worrying message after the team’s loss last week, writing, “probably gonna kill myself. I’ll let you know.” The post prompted police to visit his home for a welfare check.The incident was shared on X by Collin Rugg. His caption read: “Police show up at a man's home after he posted on Facebook that he was going to kill himself after the Philadelphia Eagles lost last week. Officer: ‘Someone called in reference to your Facebook post...’ Jake Beckman: ‘I'm fine. The Eagles lost.’ Officer: ‘You don't plan on hurting
yourself?’ Beckman: ‘No. Jalen Hurts turned the ball over six times, man.’”
The post was accompanied by a screenshot of the original social media message in which the man, identified as Jake Beckman, said he would “kill himself,” along with a video showing a police officer checking on him at his residence.The incident quickly went viral and drew mixed reactions online. While some users felt the situation could have been staged, others found humour in it.
