A thrilling video has surfaced capturing a live encounter between a snow leopard and an ibex in the mountainous range in the Kibber-Chicham wildlife sanctuary in the Spiti Valley. The footage, whose authenticity
has been confirmed by DFO Kaza, Goldy Chhabra, showed a snow leopard slowly aiming towards the ibex and launching an all-out attack by grabbing its neck. The ibex, in a desperate attempt to save its life, tries to escape, but the leopard clutched its jaws into the neck so hard that itseemed almost impossible for the wild creature to dominate against the leopard.

However, the ibex didn't lose its strength and will to survive as it kept on rushing and falling down the mountain, hitting rocks while the leopard still remained firm on its hold and was in no mood to leave its prey.As both kept falling, it came a point when the leopard lost its grip and failed to continue its hold on the ibex, finally freeing the prey from its clutches. This gave a little window to the injured ibex to sneak and run away and get lost in the snow-capped mountains. The over 1:30 second clip ends on an open end as it shows the ibex sneaking away in the Spiti Valley while the leopard, though also seeming tired and injured, tries to follow the prey.
