Although there is hardly any similarity between Sushi and a plate full of Biryani; however, it seems like the traditional Japanese dish was still what Japanese Ambassador ONO Keiichi got reminded of- after he tried Biryani the “correct way”. Taking to his social media handle, the Japanese envoy shared a video of him eating the Indian dish with his hands– at the Andhra Bhavan in Delhi. In the clip, an Indian man was also seen standing beside him, guiding him by showing him the correct use of his hands to eat the ‘non-vegetarian masterpiece’.Turns out, not only did the dish taste “much better” to Keiichi- but it also ended up reminding him how– just like sushi– Biryani too tastes better when eaten with hands. The video went viral in an instant,
leaving netizens reacting in all kinds of ways. Most loved the man’s genuine interest in Indian food, while the rest commented how they are loving it that Keiichi is enjoying India and its culture. Check out the viral post: “Tried eating biryani by hand — following my Indian friends. Like sushi, it tastes even better when eaten by hand. I feel I’ve come a little closer to my friends!” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘ONO Keiichi’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 1K views from people.
