No, it’s not some young teens or college students who shared a ‘cool’ video with the now-popular ‘Dhappak’ song in the background, but it was the Delhi Police instead– who ended up joining the trend! Wait, what? Allow us to explain from the start. A rather questionable video was recently shared online, which showed a few people breaking traffic rules in multiple ways. A man was first seen hanging from a moving car’s door. The man then went ahead and climbed on his car’s roof to sit on it, while the car was still moving on a busy road. Believe it or not, the stunt was not limited to the man just sitting on the roof, as he was later seen kissing a woman who was in the same car. As per the video, the incident happened near Delhi’s Saket. The video was quick
to trigger many as netizens demanded action against the couple, along with highlighting the importance of road safety– and to their satisfaction, the police did listen to them. Turns out, the Delhi Police found the violators and prosecuted them. However, it was not the arrest that made the incident further viral, it was rather the WAY the Delhi police conveyed it. Joining the ‘Dhappak’ trend, the police updated about the incident ‘Meri Aakhe Lal, Shakal Dekh’ style! As per the report, the violators were charged with Disobeying Lawful Directions (179 MVA) and Driving Dangerously (184 MVA). The matter was reported on November 18, Tuesday. The video went viral and left many impressed. Most loved the creativity displayed and justice delivered, while some cracked all kinds of jokes on the same.
