Ahmedabad Man’s Bumble Date Leaves Him Confused; ‘Don’t Know Who I’m Dating– Daughter? Mother? Or A Brand?’
Times Now
‘What a time to be alive! Bumble did what LinkedIn could not!-- is how most of the internet reacted after a man from Gujarat's Ahmedabad shared his unique online dating experience! Taking to LinkedIn,
the man shared that he recently matched with a girl in the online dating app Bumble. Both began to talk and everything was normal- until the next day, when the girl’s mother gave the man a call. Picking up the call, the man- Umang Rana- heard something so unexpected that it left him confused: “Beta, I heard you do writing and marketing humare office ka page sambhal loge? (Will you work for our office’s page?).” Believe it or not but the girl’s mother had allegedly called up to offer him work! “Beta you seem sincere and unmarried we can negotiate both things,” the mother had allegedly continued.Hilariously enough, the call left the man wondering whether it was a “proposal for a job, a marriage, or a brand partnership”. Later, the daughter apologised for the call, only for the mother to reach out again. Recognising an opportunity, Rana’s mother too advised him to be nice to the woman, advising how it might lead to a good job.At this point in time, the ‘right swipe’ has turned into pure confusion for the man, who is seemingly confused on whether he is dating–“The daughter? The mother?Or the brand?”The post went viral and left netizens amused. Most cracked jokes on the same.Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.
