An account on X named "Burger Janta Party" has grabbed attention online after former CJP spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya was removed from his post following a viral video that purportedly showed him eating a burger during the party's "Chalo Sansad" protest. As many internet users speculated that the account could be linked to Vijeta Dahiya, Times Now reached out to him for clarification. The X account, titled "Burger Janta Party," made its first post stating, "The party that started with the true idea of democracy removed me today for having a burger, despite me giving everything to the party. I want to say that the party has now fallen into the wrong hands and has derailed from its original objective. It is no longer a people's movement."The post further
read, "Today, I am launching the Burger Janta Party, where every one of you will be its spokesperson. Together, we will take this cause to its logical conclusion. Till then, we shall not stop!"The account triggered mixed reactions online. While some users believed that the account could be related to Vijeta Dahiya in response to his removal from the party, others suggested it was merely a satirical or parody account.
Vijeta Dahiya RespondsAs the account gained traction online, Times Now contacted Vijeta Dahiya for his response. Denying any association with the account, he said, "Obviously, it seems to be a satire kind of thing, meant to ridicule me. So, of course, I have not created this."The Burger IncidentThe controversy began after a video allegedly showing Vijeta Dahiya, then the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson, at a Burger King outlet in Delhi surfaced online and quickly went viral. The footage emerged while the party was carrying out its "Chalo Sansad" protest over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, triggering widespread debate across social media. The video appears to show Dahiya inside a Burger King restaurant located in a shopping mall near the protest venue. As he exits the outlet, several people are heard confronting him and questioning why he was at the restaurant while the demonstration was in progress. Soon after the clip gained traction online, the CJP announced that Dahiya had been removed from his role as the party's spokesperson.
