the buzz over Indian film series Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which has become a sensation and country's highest-grossing movie ever, the internet is praising a Pakistani journalist after an old video has surfaced for confronting the real-life Chaudhry Aslam, who carried out Karachi’s 'Lyari Operation' against gang violence in the city, asking him "would he like to lie something about the anti-crime operation."
Who is Chaudhry Aslam Khan?
Chaudhry Aslam Khan popularly known as Chaudhry Aslam was a Pakistani police officer in the Sindh Police. He won himself a reputation for his role in the 2012 'Lyari grand operation' in Karachi, which aimed at clearing the area of criminals. Aslam was born on April 10, 1963 and died on January 9, 2014.In the Dhurandhar movie series, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has played the role of Chaudhry Aslam. The officer in real life was tasked to fight against the gang violence in Karachi. One of the prime objectives of Chaudhry Aslam was to arrest Rehman Dakait, the leader of a criminal gang in Pakistan and other similar outfits, also shown in the movie Dhurandhar.Now, since the buzz around the Dhurandhar movie continues to be around, an old clip has surfaced on social media showing a Pakistani journalist interviewing the real-life Chaudhry Aslam.In the viral clip, the anchor, while discussing the ‘Lyari Operation,’ asks Aslam, "Would you like to speak some lies about the Operation?”The anchor asked, “Every kid knows that the Lyari Operation was wrapped up with the same speed at which it was launched, so would you like to say any lie about the operation?" Aslam said, "…no no no, there was no Lyari operation and neither any such thing happened". Responding to this, the anchor asked, "No operation took place? So were they passing time for 7-8 days."
In another question, the journalist asked that his team seized from rocket launchers, hand grenades and what not but forgot to arrest the handlers?Responding to this, Aslam said, "no it was not like that, they arrested 35 people including two with a bounty of Rs 25 lakh."As the old clip has flooded the internet, the social media cannot stop praising the anchor for his daring skills confronting Chaudhry Aslam.One of the users said, "Journalist at its peak." While another user wrote, "What a gut of a news reporter for asking straight and fearless questions. Bravo. Real journalist."A third user wrote, "The interviewer is killing it with his words."
