A controversial video circulating on social media has reignited discussions around responsible tourism after visuals from snow-covered Kashmir showed a group of men engaging in what many online called ''unruly behaviour.'' The clip, which rapidly gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), features several men, some shirtless, dancing atop a stationary car amid snow, with loud music playing and a hookah being passed around. In the footage, the men can be seen dancing enthusiastically to the Haryanvi song ''Jaat Ka Chhora.'' Some are standing and jumping on the roof of the car, while others move around in the snow nearby. Although the group appeared to be enjoying themselves, other tourists and passing vehicles are visible in the background, seemingly
taken aback by the spectacle. What may have been intended as carefree fun by those involved was perceived by many viewers as unsafe, disruptive, and disrespectful, especially given the fragile and shared nature of tourist destinations like Kashmir. The video soon drew widespread criticism, with several users calling out the lack of civic responsibility on display.Reacting to the clip, one user commented, “Don’t think they are uneducated. They aren’t. It has to do with something else."Note: Times now could not verify the authenticity of the video.
