Delhi’s air quality is not getting any better. The city’s AQI levels have reached hazardous levels, worsening the ongoing air quality crisis. Social media is filled with people complaining about the situation.
Amid this, a video is going viral in which a content creator highlights the severe consequences of Delhi’s deteriorating air quality through a parody skit. The video was shared on Instagram by content creator Ram (@theramvishal) and was captioned, “Save Delhi Air nahi toh aise jeena hoga.”In the video, a man wearing a mask goes to a shop in Delhi and asks for two “air balls” (balloons) so his child can breathe clean air. When he returns home, he quickly bursts the balloons to provide clean air to his child, who is struggling to breathe. After inhaling the air, the child’s breathing becomes stable. A text also appears in the video: “Delhi in 2050 (The Gas City).”The video then shows the child asking his father what the sky used to look like. The father replies that it used to be blue, pure, and clean—and that birds were visible too. When the child asks when the birds will return, the father says it’s difficult to say.
