Mostly, North East India is what impresses foreigners the most. From a commendable civic sense to cleanliness and from breathtaking scenic beauty to welcoming vibes and public behaviour- you name it, and the Seven Sisters never fail in leaving an unforgettable impression for all the correct reasons. Perhaps that’s why, when this British traveller stated that he was left feeling “scammed” in Meghalaya, along with alleging that “North East is full of scams”, his claims left the internet confused instead! A video was shared online, which was shared by Lewis Pullman- a UK tourist visiting India. As per his video, he has been spending time in Meghalaya for the past few weeks, where he felt that he was left “scammed” by people. Turns out, the "scam"
he was talking about was not like the usual scams, and was more about how accepting the locals turned out to be– to the level that guides, and people offering him rides never took a single rupee from him.Allegedly, he even got to stay with locals at their home, with their families. All in all, the “scam” here was how comforting and welcoming everyone was to him, without making him spend much. The video immediately went viral, leaving many reacting. Most agreed with the man, while some called his “clickbait” clever.Check out the viral post:“Meghalaya, a place I knew nothing about prior to visiting but is now high on my favourites list! Definitely some of the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced,” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘lewispullman_’. It was shared 3 days ago and pulled more than 241K views from people.
