Republic Day 2026: We sure have reached the 77th year of our Republic Day– but has our nation also become 77 times better by the last 77 years? From corruption, unemployment, scandals, and scams to hooliganism,
poor women's safety, and whatnot- you name it, and some or the other kind of crime or mishap is always present among our headlines. Hinting towards the same issue, a rather intriguing advertisement recently surfaced online, and left netizens reacting. The ad was old, yet was powerful enough to hijack social media today- January 26- one of the most hailed occasions of India; Republic Day.The advertisement reportedly was rolled out in 2020, with the theme “Important sawaal puchte raho, India”. The ad showed a young and curious kid- representing the nation's citizens- asking ‘difficult questions’ from his mother. Most questions were about corruption, road safety, cleanliness, and more. For each question, the kid’s mother simply handed him something else entirely, like a toy or food. At the end, it was a Bollywood-related question that gained the mother’s attention. All in all, the ad was though-provoking and was simply urging Indians to “ASK” questions from authorities. Although the ad was made 5 years back, it still went viral today, in 2026– on Republic Day. In 2020, as well, the ad was reportedly aired on Republic Day. Most netizens hailed the ad, while some appreciated the creativity behind it.
