In a rather unconventional move, Mumbai-based entrepreneur Shubham Gune, CEO and founder of Hinglish, decided to turn LinkedIn into something far from its original purpose — a place to find love instead
of jobs. His post, which quickly went viral, sparked a mix of amusement and curiosity across social media platforms.After running out of options in his search for a life partner, Gune took to LinkedIn and wrote, “Mujhse Shadi Karogi?” (Will you marry me?), explaining that it was his final attempt after exploring every possible route. He admitted to having tried dating apps, matrimonial platforms, meeting people through friends and relatives — but none worked.“Actually,” he wrote, “I’ve tried everything under the sun. But I have not found the one.”Gune further pointed out that many people shared his situation — being at the right age, settled in their careers, financially stable, emotionally ready, yet still unable to meet a suitable partner.That’s when he posed a question that struck a chord online: “If LinkedIn can get us jobs, clients, mentors, and investors,” he asked, “why can’t it help us find love?”
