A Pakistani national has shared her 10-hour experience at Mumbai airport in a video that is now widely going viral online. The video has received nearly 5,75,000 likes and a large number of reactions from curious netizens. The video was shared on Instagram by a user identified as @Wanzipa. In the clip, a text overlay reads, “10 Hours in Mumbai Airport as a Pakistani.” The woman then goes on to describe her experience, saying, “I am travelling with a Pakistani passport in India—this is what a layover looks like. Hi, I am travelling from London to Nepal via Mumbai, and like any normal person, I was nervous boarding the flight because India and Pakistan are not the best of friends.”She further said, “I boarded an 11-hour IndiGo flight, and I’ll
share my experience in another video. I finally landed in Mumbai, security checks went smoothly, and to my surprise, there was nothing out of the ordinary. There was no immigration check as I was to stay in the international terminal for about 10 hours, because leaving the airport without a valid visa is not possible. It was quite late, and we were exhausted, so we found this lovely lounge where we could have food and rest for a bit.”
She added, “All was well until I got a text on WhatsApp from an Indian number saying my bag had something suspicious. To my relief, I was only asked to remove my power bank from the checked-in luggage. The staff was so lovely throughout. I left after having breakfast and headed to Nepal. So yes, as a Pakistani national, transit through India is very much possible. And Mumbai, we will meet again.”She also elaborated on her experience in the caption of the Instagram video. As the clip continues to gain traction, it has been flooded with reactions online. One user wrote, “We don’t have any problem with Pakistani citizens per se… it is only a diplomatic issue to be resolved with political will from both countries… welcome… I also want to explore Karakoram and Skardu Valley.” Another user remarked, “Glad you had a good time at the Mumbai airport! We need more content showing real people and real experiences. Personally, I would love to explore the food scene of Pakistan! Keep rocking and thank you for spreading positive vibes.''
