A late-night bike ride near Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive has turned into an online discussion on women’s safety after a woman claimed an unidentified man was following her in the early hours of the morning. The alleged incident, captured on video and shared on Instagram by user alka.fit, has sparked widespread concern online.The clip, reportedly recorded around 3 am, shows the woman alleging that a man riding a scooter repeatedly followed her and kept watching her while she was on her bike near Marine Drive. Through text overlays in the video, she described feeling anxious and uncomfortable during the encounter.According to the woman, the man first appeared while she was riding near Marine Drive and later allegedly took a U-turn before stopping
his scooter directly in front of her bike. She claimed that even after the traffic signal turned green, he remained there and continued staring at her for several moments, making her feel unsafe. The man can be seen in the video moving around her and looking in her direction.In another segment of the clip, the woman alleged that the man later parked nearby and stood behind her while continuing to watch her from a distance. “I feel so uncomfortable. I can’t even explain it,” one of the captions in the video read as she continued recording the situation.
