There have been quite a few times when residents of multiple Noida high-rise buildings came forward and flagged the structure’s ‘poor quality’. Social media has seen several videos over the years, where people were seen questioning the materials used for the making of their apartments. Joining the list, another video was recently shared on the internet, where a Noida man was left stunned after he was allegedly able to hammer a ‘wooden pencil’ into the wall of his apartment worth “Rs 1.5 crore”. The clip showed the apartment's wall full of multiple holes, which the man revealed were a result of hammering a pencil into them. The clip soon went viral, leaving many expressing their concerns. Most also highlighted how the apartment was expensive,
yet left residents doubting its safety. However, among those questioning the authorities, some had otherwise to say. Netizens claimed that the holes were possible because the walls were ‘non-structural AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) walls’, which many people stated are used in high-rise buildings, for ‘reducing their weight and other safety reasons’.Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.
