A disturbing video circulating online has put a spotlight on the reckless lengths some individuals go to for social media attention. The clip, allegedly shot inside a moving coach of Indian Railways, shows a group of men damaging public property, sparking widespread outrage and calls for strict action. In the footage, a man can be seen inside a general coach tearing apart a blue bench seat while another person records the act. Dressed in a pink shirt and blue jeans, he appears to be performing for the camera, ripping the seat covering as his companion laughs in the background. The video has been widely shared across platforms, with users identifying the individual as Ankit Toppo and tagging his social media handle as the clip gained traction. The
incident doesn’t stop there. In another part of the video, two more men are seen hanging from the coach fittings and moving around dangerously while the train is in motion, raising serious concerns about passenger safety as well as the condition of public infrastructure.
The reaction online has been swift and unforgiving. Many users condemned the act as senseless vandalism, with some demanding immediate legal action. Comments ranged from frustration over the destruction of taxpayer-funded property to anger at what they described as a growing trend of creating “viral” content at the expense of public safety and civic responsibility.Beyond the immediate outrage, the video has reignited a larger conversation about the misuse of public spaces and infrastructure for online fame. With incidents like these becoming increasingly common, many are urging authorities to step in decisively, not just to penalise those involved, but also to send a strong message against such behaviour that endangers lives and damages shared resources.
