“Culture so toxic that even he has to announce that ‘Sunday is officially a holiday’,” the post read. “I used to work in this startup, midsize startup I guess (40-50 people ). My manager was good but the people above him were all so bad when working formally. Outside work they were all so chill af and good human beings but still had such a toxic work culture. I was told that I would get WFH for 2 Saturdays in a month because my office was in a government funded building for startup and it remained also on alternate Saturdays , later when I joined I got to know that they have rented a big house and I'll have to go their work from their home, so the founders were 5 people around 25-26 age and they lived there. It was a 5 bhk penthouse,” the post read. “We were also told to work during independence day , rakshabandhan etc national holidays. Also some employees were working on diwali holidays as well. Ye Saab sehen nai huwa to chood diyaa (Couldn't take all that, so I left),” the post continued. The posts were shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Medical_Action_’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 2K views from netizens.

Indian start-ups, who want their employees to work hard like Saturday and Sunday, on holidays, but they don’t want to pay for those overtime, also, there is no response or path to partnerships. But they want employees to take ownership and work like it’s their business,” a user said. “Words like recharged, refreshed, energetic etc makes me wanna punch people something,” added a second person in the comment section. “I don’t know what’s worse, the message or the people reacting with emojis,” added another.ALSO READ: Anunay Sood Fans In Shock As 32-Year-Old Travel Influence Passes Away In Las Vegas “Good that you could take such a step. I work in a private mnc and a public sector bank is our client. Officially we have sat-sun off from my company but since we are at client location, We have to work on alternate Saturdays or Sundays. At first I thought it's okay as I would get all public holidays off but NO we have to work on that as well since our offices in foreign are working. I am a fresher in my field and can't even think of switching soon,” added another.
