Not everyone who performs a stunt is a ‘daredevil’. In fact, not everything that requires risking life in the name of ‘thrill’ can be counted as a ‘stunt’; some acts simply display a ‘lack of common or civic
sense’. Or so is how most netizens reacted, after a video began to float on social media. The clip showed a man kneeling in the middle of a train track. After a while, he suddenly lay down. What happened next left netizens questioning the man’s ‘decision-making skills’. As soon as the man lay down, a speeding train passed over him.Luckily, the man was close enough to the ground that the train did not hit him. Once the stunt was done, the man began to celebrate his ‘daring act’ with cheers and excited screams. Turns out, the man wanted to make a video of the same to gain ‘internet fame’.The video went viral, but impressed no one. Most demanded action against him, while some chastised his act. It is important to note that India DOES have laws against certain acts related to train tracks. These train track-related crimes are governed under the Railways Act, 1989, under which penalties can be imposed for trespassing, vandalism, and endangering passengers. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) can also make arrests related to the same. Times Now could not confirm the details of the post. Check out the viral post:“Chasing viral fame at any cost can be deadly. A man lay down on railway tracks for a viral video, a reckless act that shocked netizens and sparked widespread outrage. Experts and viewers condemned the stunt, calling it sheer stupidity masquerading as courage—reminding everyone that one careless moment can have fatal consequences,” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘Times Now’. The post was shared a day ago and pulled more than 6K views from netizens.
