In Goa, Chiku had disappeared from Shetye Wado in Mapusa back in January 2025, and despite months of searching, the family had found no leads.
In an interview with Prudent Media Goa, the dog’s owner, Shradha, explained that she immediately knew the dog in the video was hers. She said she identified him purely through his behaviour and expressions, noting,
“she was convinced by the dog’s body language that it was her missing pet.”Shradha added that they had
“not managed to find a trace of Chiku until the video surfaced online.”Now, with this unexpected clue, Chiku’s family is renewing their efforts to locate him and has appealed to the public for assistance in bringing him back home.
