Flying from IndiGo in the past few days has become a task that has left many frustrated. Amid thousands of passengers expressing the same irritation and frustration, an IndiGo pilot’s heartfelt apology
was quick to touch many hearts! A video was shared on social media by Captain Pradeep Krishnan. The clip showed him interacting with his stranded passengers, where he was trying to explain to them how he, too, wants to “go home”. Assuring them of working as fast as possible, Krishnan requested some patience from his passengers, who were seen calmly listening to him. “I am trying my level best to speed up,” the pilot was heard saying. “We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, and we will give you more updates,” he further added.Taking to his video’s caption, Krishnan apologised to people across India and stated how IndiGo pilots and staff were understanding their frustration. He then wrote about his Coimbatore flight that got delayed; however, his passengers were thankfully very understanding, as he wrote that they were “patient and supportive”. The man further asked passengers to be kind to the “ground staff”.For those not aware, IndiGo has been facing multiple flight delays and cancellations from the past few days. The disruptions came after new rules to ensure crew safety were introduced in India. As per the new rules, pilots will get more resting time, which seemingly threw off the roster planning for IndiGo. However, the airline is slowly coming back to normalcy. Reportedly, its on-time performance has improved by 75 per cent on Sunday, from the previous 30 per cent on Saturday. The airline has also offered “full waivers for rescheduling and cancellations”, as per NDTV. It has also promised stabilised operations possibly by December 10.Coming back to the video, most netizens appreciated the pilot’s move, while some agreed with him. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.Check out the viral post: “I am sorry! I completely get how tough it is when a flight causes you to miss something important. Our flight into Coimbatore was delayed too, and I’ve seen all the videos of people getting upset and angry, but I just want to appreciate my passengers flying into Coimbatore they were so patient and supportive. It’s a tough time, but we’ll bounce back soon. Please be kind to our ground staff, they are trying their best to get you home,” the post read.
