The safety protocols that are prioritised the most in most nations during risky activities like sports or watersports adventures– are often what many find lacking in Indian sports adventures. The country, by this point in time, has witnessed enough deadly accidents and even casualties, that lack of safety procedures has become a “fear” among citizens. A video was recently shared online, which only further added to the said fear. The clip was shared by a woman, recalling her horrible parasailing experience in Goa.The clip showed the woman parasailing, where it was her friends who were recording her. After a while, she began to drop down, and at one point even fell into the water, leaving her group alarmed. Turned out, the woman was allegedly
struggling in the sea, only it was not clearly visible in the video. Not only did she fall into the water, but the rope also allegedly got stuck around her “neck”. Recalling her “panic, silence and fear”, the woman asked netizens to double check everything before opting for an adventure sports activity in India. The video went viral, pulling many reactions. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.Check out the viral post: “1 minute of thrill… almost cost me everything. What started as a fun parasailing experience in Goa ended with me struggling in the middle of the sea. Fell into the water. Rope around my neck. Panic. Silence. Fear. No camera can capture that feeling when you realize you’re not in control anymore. I was lucky. Someone came. Someone saved me. Not everyone gets that second chance,” the post read.“Before you try any water sport— ask questions, check safety, trust your gut. Because some experiences don’t just stay as memories they stay as trauma,” the post concluded. The post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘dt_sushmitha_br_gowrav’.
