‘Farder’ For Father, ‘Noge’ For Nose: Chhattisgarh Teacher's Spelling Blunders In English Class Spark Outrage

A Chhattisgarh teacher has sparked outrage after a viral video surfaced, showing him writing incorrect spellings during an English class at a primary school in Kogwar. The video, recorded on November 18, 2025, features the teacher, Kamlesh Pando, instructing students to memorise the days of the week while writing 'Farday' for Friday and 'Saterday' for Saturday on the blackboard.The teacher's inaccuracies did not stop there; during a subsequent lesson on body parts, he wrote 'noge' instead of nose, 'eare' for ear, and 'iey' for eye. Students diligently copied these misspellings into their notebooks, trusting the teacher’s guidance. Furthermore, simple family terms were also misspelled, with 'Farder', 'Mader', and 'Sester' appearing on the board.

As per the India Today report, villagers expressed their frustration, stating that despite repeated complaints to the education department and the local Panchayat, no action has been taken to address the issue. They allege that Pando often arrives at school under the influence of alcohol and fails to provide proper education. The school currently serves 42 students, with only two teachers assigned to manage their learning.Investigation UnderwayFollowing the video's widespread circulation, educational authorities have announced an investigation into the matter. An official stated, "We have received information through the media and are conducting a detailed investigation.
