However, after that, communication with her family gradually broke down.As months passed without any information about her whereabouts, concern within the family grew. Eventually,

her relatives approached the Odisha High Court seeking assistance in tracing her.The case drew wider attention after a video appeal by Hasta surfaced on social media.Following the appeal, officials from the Indian Consulate in Dubai intensified efforts to locate her. Working closely with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, authorities verified her identity and traced her through official records.

Investigators found that Hasta was facing severe financial difficulties and was unable to return home on her own. The Indian Consulate arranged temporary accommodation and extended necessary assistance.With support from the Indian Community Welfare Fund, travel arrangements were made and all required formalities were completed to facilitate her return to India.Upon her return, Hasta informed officials that she had remained safe and had not faced harassment. However, she revealed that repeated requests to return home had been denied by her employer.
