A flight attendant's candid message about passenger behaviour has gone viral after she shared a video showing the condition of an aircraft cabin after landing. The clip, which captured litter strewn across the floor despite the availability of onboard waste collection, has reignited a debate about civic sense and basic travel etiquette. The video was posted by Air India flight attendant Vanshika Kataria, who expressed frustration over the amount of trash left behind by passengers. Wrappers, paper cups and used tissues could be seen scattered around the seating area, prompting her to call for greater responsibility from travellers.Alongside the footage, Kataria shared a pointed message that read, “Dear passengers, if you can afford a flight ticket,
you can also afford some basic manners.” She further added in the caption, “Breaking news: The flight landed, but basic manners never boarded.”Clarifying her intent, Kataria said the post was not meant to shame anyone but to encourage passengers to be more mindful. She urged travellers to hold on to their waste and hand it over during the cabin crew's trash collection rounds rather than leaving it behind. She also drew attention to the efforts of cleaning crews, who often have limited time to prepare aircraft for the next flight. According to her, small acts of consideration from passengers can significantly reduce the burden on ground staff.
