People of Bihar, along with the rest of the country, were left shocked after a massive bridge- Vikramshila Setu- gave away and collapsed. Reportedly, a 10-inch expansion joint first subsided, then a slab near pier number 133 suddenly plunged into Ganga, late at night on Monday, May 04.The incident happened in Bhagalpur, whereas the bridge was a connection point for the Purvanchal region and Seemanchal. along with the same, an older video of the bridge also began to circulate on social media.As seen in the clip, a truck driver had allegedly flagged the infrastructural issue before the bridge collapsed. The video showed the driver pointing out the slightly unaligned slab, calling it a disaster waiting to happen, which is exactly what ended up happening!
