‘Murder Ho Gya Hain, Me Jaldi Se Ho Kar Aayi’: Pakistani Cop Leaves Podcast To ‘Solve Murder’, Returns Later

‘Only in Pakistan’, can a cop leave a podcast to solve a murder and then return in an hour– after allegedly solving the murder and even arresting the murderer! A video was shared on social media, which showed Shehrbano Naqvi, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Lahore, on a podcast. Mid-podcast, the cop got a call, which left her “shocked”. She began to assure the caller that she was on her way and started getting up. As soon as she cut the call, she asked the podcast host and the team to ‘remain at their places’ as she would return soon. She then stated that a “murder” had happened, due to which she had to leave “for a while”. Allegedly, Naqvi returned after an hour, after which the podcast lauded her dedication to work even in the middle

of a podcast. The host then asked what had happened, to which Naqvi said a “murder” took place!Shocked, the podcast host asked more questions, and the cop began to drop the ‘murder details’. As per the video, the murder took place in the “Defence Phase A, K Block”, where the accused and victim knew each other and were friends. The murder allegedly happened because of a dispute over money. The accused was allegedly caught.As soon as the clip went viral, netizens began to crack all kinds of jokes on the ‘acting’ being displayed in the video. Most also found it ‘embarrassing’ for Pakistan.Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. The post was shared a few days ago and pulled 472K views from people.
