A scenic halt for photographs in Jammu and Kashmir's Gurez Valley ended in disaster after a parked car rolled down a steep incline and plunged into a gorge, leaving a group of tourists helplessly watching as the incident unfolded. The dramatic moment was captured on video and later shared on X by user Nikhil Saini. The footage shows a white car beginning to move on its own shortly after its occupants got out to admire the landscape.According to the video, the vehicle had been parked on a sloping section of road overlooking the picturesque valley. Within moments, it started rolling backwards, picking up speed as it travelled downhill.Realising what was happening, the tourists sprinted after the car in a desperate attempt to stop it. Despite their
efforts, the vehicle continued accelerating before eventually veering off the road and crashing into the gorge below. The clip ended with the group standing at a distance, watching as the car disappeared down the hillside.Sharing the footage, Saini used the incident to remind travellers about the importance of parking safely on mountain roads. "A small stone behind your tyres can literally save your car. And please, use some common sense. If a spot looks risky, don't park there just for a photo," he wrote.
