What is the story about?
A man dubbed 'America’s Nostradamus' has issued a chilling warning that the world could face nuclear attacks, a 27-year war and a US economic collapse
within the next couple of years. John Hogue has spent years studying the predictions of Michel de Nostre-Dame, the 16th-century French astrologer better known as Nostradamus. He has written several books on the subject, including Nostradamus: The New Revelations and The Millennium Book of Prophecy, 1000 for 2000: Startling Predictions for the New Millennium. Hogue says his own forecasts are guided by Nostradamus' writings, and his latest prophecies are among his bleakest yet.
The 'Sword Of Nuclear Damocles'
Speaking to The Sun, Hogue warned that the threat of nuclear catastrophe is closer than ever. "Trump is 50-50 about going ahead with a nuclear strike on Iran," he said. "It is a new pattern of danger I’ve been warning about for a long time now."He argued that Western conventional weapons are being steadily drained. "When all stockpiles of Western - and particularly American - conventional weapons are exhausted, that will leave only bountiful tactical and then strategic intercontinental nuclear weapon stocks left to fight wars with."

According to Hogue, any such strike could trigger retaliatory attacks around the world. He believes this could leave what he calls the "Sword of Nuclear Damocles" hanging over humanity by 2028.
A 27-Year War And Economic Breakdown
Hogue also claims humanity could be heading toward a global conflict lasting almost three decades. His research centres on a mysterious figure Nostradamus called "Mabus," or "The Third Antichrist," who Hogue says is set to die soon, sparking a major war. He shared a translated passage from Nostradamus: "The Third Antichrist will very soon be annihilated, twenty-seven years of blood his war will last. The heretics dead, captives, exiled. Blood[-soaked] human bodies, water reddened, hail ravaging [despoiling] the Earth."Hogue interprets this as a war that will destroy global energy infrastructure, including major oil pipelines and gas works across the Middle East, unleashing nearly 30 years of chaos.
Closer to home, he predicts an economic breakdown in the United States, with soaring fuel prices and inflation reaching harsh new levels. Once again, he suggests this could unfold before the end of 2028. Despite the grim picture, Hogue insists his predictions are meant as a wake-up call. He says he hopes they will encourage people to choose peace over violence before it is too late.
Baba Vanga's Warnings
Hogue is not the only prophecy figure making headlines. Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga, who is credited by followers with foreseeing events such as the Covid-19 pandemic, also left behind a string of predictions before her death in August 1996, many of which supposedly have yet to come true. Her forecasts for this year reportedly included natural disasters, which the world has sadly witnessed. With the year drawing to a close, a few of her more dramatic claims are still pending.
Baba Vanga reportedly predicted that Russia will have a new leader by 2027, ending Vladimir Putin’s 26-year run in power. She is also said to have foreseen the arrival of the first aliens on Earth by November, meaning next month could prove eventful. It is worth remembering that prophecies like these are open to wide interpretation and have no scientific basis. Still, for believers, the coming two years may be worth watching closely.
