A manifestation veteran will confirm for you - believing is hard. And if you add to it the infinite layers of the Universe's tests, law of attraction,
unflinching belief whilst being wholly detached to the outcome you (really!) want, the whole shtick about co-creating your reality with the cosmos can feel like...lies. And the mental and emotional exhaustion that typically ensues is a whole another struggle. So sometimes, it's actually best to leave the whole 'believe no matter the 3D' narrative behind. And Carl Jung's route of unconscious acceptance, professes just that. Carl Jung was a trailblazing psychiatrist and the founder of analytical psychology. But the fact that his body of work can so seamlessly be tied into what we know as the ground rules of 'manifestation' today - facets like the collective unconscious, individuation and shaping modern though on the human mind light up here - goes a long way in explaining the very obvious correlation between the power of the mind and how it reflects in your reality. Unconscious acceptance then, happens to be the perfect philosophy to follow for the skeptics and non-believers who are looking to dabble in some 'mind magic', and even for the believers who want to take a break from...well, believing.
What is Carl Jung's Method of Unconscious Acceptance?
Active belief is very different from unconscious acceptance. This philosophy doesn't honour jumping ahead into the future and having your mind live there, till the body and your reality catch up. It believes in engaging in deep and consistent introspection, letting your mind work out the path to the intended outcome. Now while coming up with a 20-point plant to become a millionaire to someone working a day-job in corporate seems like something that only exists on a Hollywood script and wildly delusional, unconscious acceptance isn't about the 'how'. It's about making your mind and being comfortable and settled into the 'where' you're trying to reach. The core trick here is to make your psyche align to that desired outcome - whatever it may be - so that your behaviour and perception align with it.Also Read: Manifestation is Actually Rooted in Science - Your RAS is Proof
How To Reach Unconscious Acceptance?
- Step 1 is to name your desire clearly. Ask yourself what the vision is? If it's money, where do you live? What do you own? What does an average day of spending look like? Similarly, if it's love, who is this person? What do they most likely look like? What do they do? How do they treat you? Build an image of your desired destination. And you absolutely do not need to believe it will happen - just define it, crystal clear. In Jungian language, bring your unconscious desires into conscious awareness.
- Step 2 is building psychological familiarity. Think of this as gym time for your mind. Incidentally, forced optimism, which is something that represents majority of the manifestation iceberg imprints far slower on your psyche than repetition. Repeating the imagination of your vision to yourself is what creates emotional familiarity, which is the strongest foundation of successful manifestation.
- Step 3 is where you need to get dirty. This is about digging into your subconscious mind and actively calling out the current fears, limiting stories and wounded narratives that unassumingly inform the patterns of your life which you are unhappy about. Identify them and proceed to weed them out. This is the real 'work' required for this method.
- Step 4 is where you start grounding this vision in reality. Again, no belief is required for this step. All you need to do, is take small, tangible steps towards what you feel your end goal is. This could be as simple as adding that luxury bag you've been eyeing for months to your shopping cart (not to buy, just to mimic the feeling of exhilaration and achievement) or finally buying that first date outfit you had planned down to the last detail.
- Step 5 is letting things be. Trying too hard is not only a very real thing, but also a very intense energy. And if people can read it, trust that the Universe has been clocking it too. Trying too hard doesn't do much except creates a film of resistance. Inner work and self-observation are the only places you must be putting effort in here to reduce your inner conflict. Once your inner focus shifts into alignment, the 3D can't be too far behind.
