If the beginning of this week felt different in ways you couldn't pinpoint, your cosmic radar is much more online than you think. And this is doubly true
if you happen to be any of the Earth Signs or Water signs. Between May 18 and the middle of June, these two elemental sets are being given a portal of sorts, to maximise their foundations and capitalise on the benefits they can gauge from it. While there are several cross-relations and placements at play here, the primary defining factor for this cosmic portal is the fact that Mars and Venus are changing signs on the same day. Psychic and astrologer Evan Nathaniel Grim reads the stars.
Venus Enters Cancer
One thing to note about the movement of these two planets, is that they both switched from Fire and Air signs into Water and Earth signs, doubling the (mostly) positive impact for the latter pair. Specifically speaking about Venus, it not only entered Cancer earlier this week on Monday, but also added momentum to Jupiter's closing moments in Cancer, explains Grim. As a matter of fact, Venus and Jupiter - both beneficiary planets - will co-habit the Water sign and will come into perfect alignment on June 9. Now something of this sort will of course have an impact on all 12 zodiac signs and not just the Water and Earth quadrants. As a rule of thumb, expect to feel pushed to generate more value in the Cancer-ruled house of your birth chart. For the Water and Earth signs in particular - expect to feel incentivised to nurture existing friendships, relationships and family. Additionally, a property upgrade may also be in the works, he adds.
Mars Enters Taurus
Right as Venus was pulling all of this off in Cancer, Mars too entered Taurus. Given that Taurus is a grounded Earth sign, it is going to force Mars' fiery energy to slightly slow down allowing us - particularly the Earth signs - to turn inwards and preserve all that we already have and build on pre-existing foundations. That being said, Grim warns us not to expect passive energy right through mid-June as at some point, Mars will be squaring Pluto, likely sparking a battle for control. Overall, Earth and Water signs should double down on their priorities during this time, taking care of their space as well as their people in it, he suggests.
June 2026 Forecast
Post mid-June, Mars will move on to the Air sign of Gemini, while Jupiter will enter the Fire sign of Leo. These combinations all in all spell out one thing - the disappointingly humdrum (but still somehow chaotic!) pace of 2026 is scheduled for an uptick for the rest of the year. Long story short - creativity and passion will be taking the lead. While this applies to all signs across the zodiac spectrum, those with prominent Fire and Air placements will be feeling it the most. Grim lists the key expectations as pointless authority figures going for a toss and you finding enough confidence to pivot in a more lucrative direction in July.
